1. What We Collect

When you use MyCritter.AI, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture. We use this to identify your account and send transactional emails.
• Pet profiles: Information you enter about your pets, including name, species, breed, personality, memories, and photos. This data is used to personalize your AI interactions.
• Chat history: Conversations you have with pet personas and AI tools on MyCritter.AI. This is stored to allow continuity across sessions and to improve AI personalization (e.g., extracted memory summaries).
• Usage data: Basic information about how you interact with the service, such as features used. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to operate and improve MyCritter.AI:

• To authenticate you and maintain your account
• To generate personalized AI conversations based on your pet profiles
• To store chat history so your critters remember prior conversations
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, unsubscribe flows)
• To improve the quality and accuracy of our AI tools

We use the Anthropic Claude API to generate AI responses. Conversation data sent to this API is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy. We do not send personally identifying information to third-party AI providers beyond what is necessary to generate a response.

3. We Do Not Sell Your Data

MyCritter.AI does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your pets' data to any third party, ever. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with data brokers or marketing companies.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on servers in the United States. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Pet photos are stored as base64-encoded data in our database. Chat history is retained to support ongoing personalization. You can delete individual critters (and their associated chat history) at any time from your My Critters page.

5. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at support@mycritter.ai. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
